I was thinking of a Bare knuckle fighter from the 1800's when concepting this guy.
It was also my first go on painter.I'm very addicted to painter after creating this set of heads from it.

this guy "Old Chops" is from a comic book story
that i am trying to get done in my spare time which is far and few between these days.
this is a sence from the comic where the lead charcaters are to be
taken on a voyage by the boatman.
a wee close up for ya. You can see that the floating boat
has the look of a Vietnamese/Thai shape to it.
My version of the boatman differs slightly, I have used
loads of different types of old cameras the form the face and head to give
a dark and sinister look to him.every move this guy makes should have
a mechanical clicking sound to it don't you think.

These kids were from a great little project that i worked on.
I real enjoyed working on the style of this with the hair design color and shapes driving their look.
