SILHOUETTES

I have chucked my blocked-out FOG project in here for the moment because i have now taken a Silhouette approach to nearly everything i start be it a character, painting or environment. Its got a weird style of its own and the final product might not look anything like the original block-out version, but i find its a quick and fun way to get all the elements i want in the right place.

her is my original block-out scene.
I wanted to give the viewer a felling of entrapment by these pirate ghostys and that their cold tentacle like foggy presence could take a grip of you ankle any second now!!...Ooooo, scared meself there.

Boat out back in the port and old moonie popping his head out there and all.

All though i like the configuration i felt that its maybe to much of a layout scene and i really just want to concentrate on the Pirate characters, so i selected the right hand side area there and added some of the elements from the left side. Looking at it the now, i think i might get a wee bit closer to the spookies. Anyway, i'll try to convince meself to part from watching TV and get stuck in to this already worked out sketch below.

Oh yea.....And if i have time work up some of these guys below  in colour.
